What’s the problem of our community?
“Roughly2,600 people are experiencing homelessness in Charlott-Meclenburg as of March 2025.”-State of Houseing Instability&Homelesssness report
Homeless people especially unsheltered people in Charlotte NC are experiences basic need challenges. 35% Homeless people did’t know where to go for help.27 % of them has No way to reach services (transportation) 18% of them lack of Cleaner facilities(bathroom, laundry, shower etc.) They lack low-barrier shelters or clinics, most unsheltered people are gathering around VAPA Center, Downtown Charlotte NC.
The mission.
My work was to create a systematic information bulletin—updated annually and quarterly—for people experiencing homelessness on the streets. Our goal is to help them locate nearby resources for food, shelter, clothing, and other necessities more quickly, overcoming the current reliance on word-of-mouth alone. The bulletin would also offer friendly tips to ensure they can efficiently access information and assistance even during the lowest points in their lives.
